GP Power 12K Padel Racket Review: Pink Power & Plenty of Fun

I discovered the GP Power 12K Padel Racket while reviewing other pink padel rackets, and it immediately caught my attention. The Pink Pearl Shimmer finish really pops (even on a cloudy Scottish day). It’s bold, sleek, and gives off a premium look that had me excited to hit the court straight away.

From the very first swing, it felt light and easy to handle. At around 360g, it’s not too heavy, perfect for quick reaction shots and longer games without wearing out your arm. Despite that lighter feel, it doesn’t compromise on stability. The carbon fibre frame gives it a solid, dependable feel with every strike.

The teardrop shape and mid-balance make it a great option for players who want a mix of power and control. I didn’t have to adjust my style, it just worked, whether I was up at the net or playing from the baseline.

Key Features

Balanced Power & Control

Thanks to its shape and balance point, you can comfortably switch between attacking and defending. Whether you’re blocking at the net or going for a bandeja, the racket feels responsive and consistent.

Premium Construction

Built with a 12K carbon face and full carbon frame, it feels strong without being stiff. The soft EVA core adds a nice touch for finesse shots and gives a more forgiving feel on contact.

Standout Design

The shimmering pink finish isn’t just for show (although it definitely makes a statement). It adds style to your game and makes the racket easy to spot on court.

Versatile Playability

From volleys and smashes to drop shots and lobs, this racket holds up across every area of play. It adapts well to different styles and situations without feeling limited.

Great for Developing Players

While it’s aimed at intermediate to advanced players, it’s also a solid step up for confident beginners. If you’ve been playing for a year or so and want something to grow into, this racket fits the bill.

On the Court

Taking the GP Power 12K onto the court confirmed what I’d hoped. it’s reliable, responsive, and easy to get comfortable with, especially if you’re still developing your playing style or confidence in matches.

From the Baseline

The first thing I noticed was how forgiving it felt. Even if I was slightly off-timing or hit outside the sweet spot, the ball still had decent depth. It gave me confidence to swing freely without overthinking. On lobs and defensive shots, it felt solid, I could trust it to do what I needed.

At the Net

This is where I really felt in sync with the racket. It’s quick in the hand, and I never struggled to get it into position during fast exchanges. Volleys felt clean and stable. I even surprised myself in one match with how confidently I was blocking and redirecting pace under pressure.

Drop Shots & Touch Play

This is where the soft EVA core came through. I tried a few soft drop volleys from mid-court, and they came off with a nice, low bounce -the kind that forces your opponent to stretch or give up. I don’t usually play many drops, but with this racket, I started throwing them in more often just because they felt easy to control.

Power Shots

When I had the chance to attack, especially on overheads the racket delivered. I didn’t feel like I had to force the power. Whether it was a vibora or a full smash, the carbon construction gave me plenty of rebound. One of my favourite moments was hitting a clean smash down the T that bounced off the back glass, it felt effortless and powerful without over-swinging.

Spin Performance

I played around with some spin on returns and second shots. Slice felt great, and the surface had good grip for sidespin too. I even added a bit of spin to my underhand serves, and while subtle, it added some nice variation that kept my opponent guessing.

Comfort & Feel

Even after a couple of long sets, I didn’t feel much strain on my wrist or arm. There’s minimal vibration, which was a standout for me, especially compared to some stiffer rackets I’ve used. That comfort helped me stay relaxed and consistent deep into the match.

Bonus Moment: My Partner Wouldn’t Give It Back!

Partway through a match, my partner asked to try the racket for a point, and didn’t want to give it back!

She instantly liked the feel and control, and I could tell she felt more confident hitting with it. She joked that it was the most fun she’s had with a racket and honestly, I totally agreed. We ended up passing it back and forth just to share the experience.

It’s the kind of racket that makes you want to play more and that’s exactly what you want when you’re still growing your game.

Packaging & Extras

The pink racket really pops against the sleek black box it arrives in, making a bold first impression the moment you open it. Inside, you’ll find a padded case, perfect for carrying your racket to and from the club in style and safety. The whole unboxing experience feels premium and thoughtfully designed, showing that attention to detail goes beyond just the racket itself.
